BLENDED/1:1 LEARNING
Societal demands and global issues have changed our everyday lives. As a result, technology has also changed our everyday lives and certainly education. Students today will need to be communicators, goal-directed, resilient, listeners, collaborators, and creative and critical thinkers to be successful and prepared for the jobs they will have in the future that do not even exist yet. Blended learning in the classroom provides equitable access to meaningful learning experiences and technology that supports these student learning needs both at school and at home.

Blended Learning is complex and has many facets. It is a practice that moves to support students in a more personalized learning experience by giving them more choice around time, pace, path, and place of learning.

Students in my class enjoy the combination of face-to-face learning and technology. I can readily implement a Pear Deck lesson into my mini-lesson to informally assess my student's understanding of a concept, so I can meet with students one-on-one or small group to ensure their understanding of the concept at hand. Meanwhile, the remainder of the class might be working on an M3 activity that they are recording their understanding and critical thinking in a Digitized Think Deeply Journal.
